At Centralia, I looked at my map to see where I’d likely stay the next night.  If I rode my usual 60-70 miles, then I was faced with either Coal Creek (population: 32) or an 80 miler to Cathlamet (population: 565).  I chose to go off route to Longview (population: 34,680).
